Cottage Stables is situated between Andover and Newbury in the village of Little Hatherden.
The yard comprises of two gallops, a four and a half furlong straight
woodchip gallop on a gradient and a three furlong round gallop made up
from sand imported from Wexford in Ireland.
The stable yard contains 53 boxes divided between a barn and outside loose boxes. We also have the facility of a ten box quarantine yard with easy access to the gallops to try and reduce the chance of any viral infection through the season. There are ample turnout facilities, a horse walker and our own ideal schooling grounds. The yard is located on a twelve hundred acre farm so both fitness and freshness of mind can be assured.
The yard has a very friendly atmosphere, which is maintained by dedicated staff of the highest calibre ensuring the very best care for the horses.
“With the traditional flint and brick charm of the area, the horses enjoy and benefit from such a calm environment. The team at the yard appear to have formed an amazing bond with the horses and team spirit is evident at every turn.”
Whether it be the welcoming flurry of Labradors and spaniel, or the stunning views over the gallops, or even the traditional barns, this yard holds a peaceful yet energetic air which brings you closer to the horses.
The yard is continually being modernised and the quiet isolation along with the easy access via motorway or rail, is unique.
