I believe that it is very important to keep owners both involved and informed and to offer a friendly and professional service which in turn enables them to enjoy al aspects of racehorse ownership. I offer sole ownership or the chance to be involved with small syndicates of both flat and National Hunt horses. The yard is sponsored by Hatherden Horse Transport, so all VAT is reclaimable. We also offer a VAT Return service to all our owners.

My agent in Ireland, Gerry Hogan has proved invaluable with regards to the purchase of horses from the Point to Pointing field and sales such as Tana River, Cheltenham Festival winner Pause and Clause, Chariot Charger and Tocca Fero. I have also had success purchasing horses on the flat including Self Defence, Gig Harbour and Palua.

Ownership has so many excitements, from mornings on the gallops to the elation and celebration of the winner’s enclosure. I am extremely keen for owners to become involved and come down to Cottage Stables in the mornings to watch their horses work and enjoy several bacon sandwiches!

With some of the country’s most beautiful racecourses on our doorstep, many fun days with friends and family can be had. However, when it is your horse being led up, a whole new sense of pride and anticipation is added to the day.
